Animal Rescue
Several articles and a chapter in Montana Folks have been published that provide info on Deer Haven Ranch's animal rescue. You can link to these articles below. We are not a Dude Ranch. Our horses are rescued animals and are not rideable. We are a haven for Montana ranch animals that are too old to work.
"As long as they are healthy, I take them", Michelle explains. "I'm not running a hospital; it's more like a retirement home. My horses don't get ridden or pull wagons. They just - pardon the expression - horse around."
