Welcome to Deer Haven Ranch Guest House!

Our Mission

We are committed to providing safe haven and a loving home for animals whose working life is over and no longer have a place to go. The proceeds from our guest house are used to offset the cost of feeding and caring for the rescued animals. See our Animal Rescue page for articles and information on our program.

This website is a memorial to Big Ima, Concho and Jed, who crossed the Rainbow Bridge too soon.

Our Ranch

In 1991 owner Michelle Feldstein took in her first old horse. Today the Feldsteins provide a loving home on their 270-acre ranch for over 40 horses, llamas, donkeys and miscellaneous other large animals The ranch is located on the blue ribbon fly-fishing Yellowstone River in breathtaking Paradise Valley, Montana. The Guest House is a luxurious 3-room, private converted-barn accomodation with 1 1/4 miles of frontage on the Yellowstone River, and spectacular mountain views.

The resident animals roam the pastures and visit the fishing floats lunching at our permanent picnic sites. Chickens supply farm-fresh eggs. Bald Eagles, Golden Eagles, Canada Geese, Sandhill Cranes, Great Blue Herons, Pelicans and a variety of native and migrating birds soar over the property and fill the air with song. Red Fox, Mule Deer, White Tail Deer and other wildlife make their homes on, or visit, the ranch.

Paradise Valley and the Yellowstone River

It is bordered by the 11,000 foot snow-capped peaks of the Absaroka/Beartooth Mountain Range on the East and the towering Gallatin Mountain Range on the West. To the North lie the Crazy Mountains, and to the Northwest-the Bridgers.

The Yellowstone River, the longest free-flowing river in The United States, is a world-class blue ribbon trout stream, teaming with trophy-size Cutthroats, Browns and Rainbows. It flows North through Paradise Valley from its source, Yellowstone Lake, in famed Yellowstone National Park.
